Reboot Storvik is another alternate-universe analog of

Storvik, Captain of the Federation Starship

USS Murgatroid.

Reboot Storvik is from the alternate timeline created when the Romulan Nero went back in time and cut a swath of destruction beginning with the USS Kelvin and culminating in the destruction of the entire planet Vulcan before being stopped by the USS Enterprise. In this timeline, Storvik was born less than a year after the destruction of Vulcan – decades before he was "destined" to be born because the need to rebuild the Vulcan species caused his parents to have earlier (and more numerous) children than they would have otherwise planned.
